  • How to Apply for a Permit?
    To apply for a permit, fill out the appropriate Permit Application Form. Additionally, if there are multiple existing structures on your parcel, you also may need a Calculations Worksheet. All forms are also available at the Township Office. Mail or drop off the completed form to the Township Offices. Include all required drawings, measurements, and additional information required, as noted on the form. Include a CHECK, made payable to BATH TOWNSHIP, for the appropriate amount, from the available Fee Schedule. For further information, please refer to the Citizens Guide to Zoning Permits.   • How to Apply for a Variance or Conditional Use?
    Variances and Conditional Use Requests are covered in the Bath Township Zoning Resolution, Article 10, Sections 1003 and 1004. To apply for a variance or conditional use, fill out the Variance Application or Conditional Use Application in its entirety. Mail or drop off the completed form to the Township Offices and include all required drawings, measurements, and additional information requested on the form. Include a CHECK, made payable to BATH TOWNSHIP, for $300. To streamline the permit process after BZA approval, you may also submit any corresponding permit application(s) at the same time. Payment for these permits will not be collected until they are issued.   • How to Rezone Property, or Suggest a Proposed Change to the Zoning Resolution?
    To apply for a rezoning or propose a change to the zoning resolution, fill out the Rezoning and Proposed Resolution Application in its entirety. Mail or drop off the completed form to the Township Offices. Include a CHECK, made payable to BATH TOWNSHIP, for $425. No petition concerning any parcel of property, portion of, or use of, can be considered more than once during any consecutive twelve (12) month period. For further information on the re-zoning of property, changes to the district map, and other proposed changes to the Bath Township Zoning Resolution, please refer to the Citizens Guide to Proposing Change to the Zoning Resolution. For Planned Unit Development cases, please contact the Zoning Administrator to set up a pre-application meeting. There is a $100 fee for these meetings.
  • How to Appeal a Decision made by the Zoning Administrator?
    Appealing a decision by the Zoning Administrator is covered in Article 10, Section 1002 of the Bath Township Zoning Resolution. If you wish to appeal a decision made by the Zoning Administrator, you may fill out an Appeal Application, in its entirety. Forms can also be picked up at the township office. Mail or drop off the completed form to the Township Offices. This appeal form must be submitted within 20 days of the Zoning Administrator’s decision. Include all additional information requested on the form. Also, include a CHECK, made payable to BATH TOWNSHIP, for $300.
